Ya I've been busy with so much shit recently I just haven't gotten around to updating this yet. Ya I know there is no one reading but I feel like I should anyway just for the sake that I have it. So sorry to anyone reading, and I'll try to update more frequently.

Borderlands Review

It's alright. This is gonna be short.

Graphics are Unreal 3 and pretty much suck, they're just ugly. Cartooney but not in a good way. Animation does better but it still looks like a first generation xbox game. Reminds me of JetsetRadio. The textures load very slowly just like in GOW and pretty much every other Unreal 3 game.

The Overworld is such shit, but once in a dungeon shit gets real. It's hard, fun and rewarding. It's best played with one other person over xbox live. More than that and the game is too easy. Also fights break out over guns so it's best to start at the same time and be different classes, for example 2 hunters won't fair well. I usually play with me as a hunter and a friend as a soldier or berserker.

Achievements are very easy. Stuff like find this place, and reach level 10. Nothing hard. Others include win 1 arena match, and sell this many items at a shop. They're not creative nor challenging. Many however are hiddin even though there is so little story. Hiding an achievement does nothing unless its a story heavy game and the achievement is based on the story. This game's story sucks.

Overall, I thought it was mediocre. Try it before you by it. The looting is fun but sometimes the game can be way too brutal, and other times too easy. It's unbalanced and frustrating. It's not terrible by any means but lacks polish and really half assed the story. If the story hhad been decent and the achievements and polish been better, it would have scored higher.

Avatar Review: Go see it!

In short Avatar is the Star Wars of the next generation. It's technically amazing, tells an thrilling story, and makes you think; the best thing a movie can ever hope to do.

SPOILER ALERT:
The storyline revolves around Jake Sully, a former marine whose spine was crippled in battle leaving him in a wheel chair. After the untimely death of his twin brother he is asked to fill his brothers position in an off world experiment. They need him because it only works with one person's DNA. He accepts and so he is put in cryogenic sleep for 6 years. When he awakes he is transported to an Earthlike moon called Pandora. It is not only home to a shocking amount of alien life such as the Banshees(a cross between a pteredactyl and a snake) but also a very expensive and rare mineral known comically as "Unobtainium". Yes that's really what it's called.

The humans are there to mine the mineral but they have one problem, the locals aren't too keen on the "aliens" coming and tearing up their planet. One thing leads to another and Jake ends up switching sides and fighting alongside the aliens in a desperate battle over the planet.
Story Rating:*****

Overall I loved this film, with no huge plot holes, amazing special effects, and a story that will become a classic this movie is already a must see.

However no film is perfect. The movie drags it's feet in terms of plot, during the mid point. Several of the later scenes involving the humans are really not needed. And the naration drops in and out like a bad CD. Despite all of these minor complaints this is still by far the best action movie of 2009, and maybe the best film of 2009 period. Go see it for yourself and you decide.

Grandma got runover by a Care package

Yes, that's right today I got the Title for killing someone with a care package and it was legit, none of this boosting, "stand there and wait" bullshit(you know who you are). I threw it with about 40 seconds left in the game and ran, I didn't really care what was in it but I just wanted the 100 exp for calling it in. And I got that and some poor soul got owned and gave me something I would have never gotten. Thanks luck, glad to know yo have a sense of humor.

Oh, and I'd like to make clear the difference between a Silencer and a Suppressor. A Suppressor is usually for rifles and it dulls the muzzle flash and muffles the sound. Where as a silencer completely removes the muzzle flash and dulls the sound, but is for handguns.

Ode to a Charger (Budump Budump)

And now for a tribute to the most hilarious zombie ever. Left 4 dead 2's very own Charger!
Basically he "charges" at people picking up the first he comes in contact with and knocking others out of the way(including other zombies). He then proceeds to pummel the victim into the ground until they are dead.

My friend and I were playing split screen in the first level in the Mall campaign and while on a railing he Charged perfectly onto the railing, knocking Ellis into oblivion and killing Nick. Both were killed and Rochelle(me) and Coach were alive. He actually ran so fast the he packed Ellis off the building, grabbed Nick, ran off the building still holding Nick and ran on air for about 4 seconds until running off the level completely and slamming Nick into the ground killing both himself and his captive. It will never happen again and it was positively the best Left 4 Dead moment ever. I will never forget.

PS, In my group of friends, Budump Budump is the sound the charger makes while charging.

Halo Reach Screenshots?

Apparently some screenshots of Reach were leaked. I say that because "leaking" blurry screenshots and shaky videos of the screen are the best ways to overhype a game, as if that wasn't gonna happen anyway, I mean come on it's Halo! Anyhoo the screen shots look legit to me but some of the things I read sounded Ify. Stuff like having perks. We don't need perks in Halo, really we don't. Some new weapons are also featured like the Never-featured-in-a-game Smg-variant of the Battle Rifle and what look like a spartan laser but has a little screen, maybe a protoype or a homing rocket launher or something. Also there is a new Covenant weapon which looks like the Needler knocked up a Carbine and this was the bastard child.
I'll let you know when I find more , hopefully non-blurry pics.

The main menue

A cool looking night level, motion tracker is surrounded by the names and health of squadmates, top left has the supposed perks (Camo, Fast running, Halogram).

The Battle Rifle's Smg variant, notice the large scope and Shortened barrel.

The crazy new Covenant weapon, looks like a Needler but with a rifle body. Also the Warthog appears to have the mounted rocket launcher from Halo CE and a Spartan wearing mark IV armor is driving.

Needles to say it looks nearly identical to the spartan laser but bigger and with a small lcd screen. It could be a protoype or a whole new gun.

Modern Warfare 2 short review

Basically its a great game no matter what way you look at it, though be warned, this is by far the most violent game I have played in recent months. And that's compared to Left 4 dead and Fallout 3. This is not a game for anyone under 15.

The story mode is awesome and is very cinematic. Like the first one, the sniper missions are very fun and sort of overshadow the others levels, though here are some hilights.

The new mode, special ops is basically a watered down co-op version of the campaign but without the story. Just action. This mode also includes missions from Modern Warfare 1.

The multiplayer is nearly flawless but the horrific spawning from the first game returns and can ruin an otherwise great game. If you don't already have this, get it!

Some noob who clearly knew nothing about Halo and it would seem never played the game did a review of HAlo 3 ODST and it's really funny. It's so full of factual errors and lack of basic information that it's funny.

This game is not good. I never played the original Halo 3 game. But I played 1 and 2. I rented this game from blockbuster and I'm very happy I did. Let me start off with the online mode. Their's nobody online to play with and that's strange to me. The storymode isn't that great, I didn't beat it but I got bored of it. Stick with the original Halo 3 game. Cause playing ODST feel's like I played the original Halo 3. And I didn't even play the original Halo 3. This game is not even worth renting. This game is trash but Halo 1 and 2 were classic. Spend your money on Call of Duty: Modern warfare 2 when it come's out. Look past this game please.

If you follow my blog, all 2 of you. Then you may Have noticed I haven't updated it in a really long time for the internet. About a month I think. Sorry, this can be blamed on several things including

-and Fallout 3Game of the Year edition(it's fuckin awesome)

Sorry, I'll try to be more rigorous with my updating and posting.

Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edtion:
This will get a review eventually, It's a huge game that took up 2.5 gigs on my hard drive and thus buyers beware, but other than that and getting stuck between rocks this game is phenomenal. It completely deserves this re-release and if you like RPGs FPSs or both and haven't got your hands on this game then get yo lazy bum ass off the couch and buy this. I bought it off amazon for a cheap $56 it comes with a sliding Holographic case and a second disc with all the Download content.

And a swampy one that i forgot the name for

This game has most likely more content than any other xbox 360 game, in shrt if your clueless, allout is an awesome shooter with a freeroaming campaign and a big scoop of RPG just for funzies.

Modern warfare 2:
I'm no expert( really) but this game is looking better and better. It has been confirmed that the game will have a third-person mode. Cool, might suck, but hey at least they tried!And according to IGN and Kotacu, leaked campaign footage for the game has been released and is being called the most graphic violence every seen in a video game. Holy shit. It apparently involve innocent civilians which might mean beatings or executions, but that's just me speculating. It's being pulled of the web everywhere which hints at it being real footage. I hope to god this isn't blown out of proportion, the last time a game made mean sick was when I saw the level in Mortal Kombat with the impaled heads and that was many years ago. I've seen my share of decaps and I want to be blown away again. I'm not going to watch it because I won't spoil the game for myself, if you want to, feel free.

Vidmaster: The Road to Recon!

Now everybody you likes Halo wants a set of that delicious Recon armor, but many people don't understand the Vidmaster achievements. Well have no fear! I'm here to explain each one and rate them on a difficulty level.

Here is how it goes

[Easiest way is to play Lone Wolves until you become a Lieutenant]

Vidmaster Challenge: Brainpan (Medium, most skulls are hidden well especially the one on Sandbox, Easy if you cheat and look up the locations]
Found all the hidden skulls on the Mythic maps.
[You must find all the hidden skulls in forge mode on the maps Citadel, Longshore, Heretic, Sandbox, Assembly, and Orbital]

Finished any level solo on Legendary, on LIVE, with no shots fired or grenades thrown.
[The easiest of the hard ones but still a challenge in itself]

In Firefight, on any mission, passed the 4th Set on 4-player Heroic LIVE co-op.
[Set aside a good 2 hours for this, to get it you must beat set 4 with 3 other people on heroic.]

Vidmaster Challenge: Déjà Vu (Very hard, need a good team and a little luck)
Complete Highway on 4-player Legendary LIVE co-op, with Iron, and no 'Hog or Scorpion.
[Self explaining, the hardest part is the beginning get past that and the end is easy)

Vidmaster Challenge: Annual ( Very hard, this achievement will make you hate the best level in the game)
After 9/25/08, complete Halo on 4-player Legendary LIVE co-op, with Iron, and everyone in Ghosts.
[ Simple in theory but organizing 3 other decent players with good internet connections to do this is hard much less actually doing it, it takes lots of skill, lots of luck, and a team leader who knows what they're doing. Kids don't try this at home]

Crash Course: Left 4 Dead

It's beautiful, short, funny, and really intense. Now enough about your mom. Let's talk Zombies!

Being the second dlc for left 4 dead this one is really fun, however it's over priced and I would have prefered a free version since the PC version is free so wtf. It's really short about half as long as the other campaigns and comes with some fun achievements! I'll finish this review when I get a chance but I need to find the rest of those fucking audio logs!
Damn you Bungie and your distracting achievements!

Halo 3: ODST review

In Short:
Halo 3: ODST is Halo 3. It's not revolutionary in any way. That's not to say it's not good though. It's fast paced, got an interesting story, and has the Halo charm that we know and love. In short, if you didn't like Halo 3, this game won't change your mind. However if you're a fan, this game is just for you! yay!

Story:
You take control of not the Master Chief but instead an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper. Your a rookie but not green, no odst is. the game takes place during and immediately after the the slipspace event happening over new Mombasa in the middle of Halo 2. The game begins as you are dropped and during your decent a large ship warps away being followed by a huge explosion. When you awake 6 hours later, your team is missing and not responding to your comm. To make matters worse the covenant have taken the city by force and are now all over the place. It's up to you to find your team, and defeat the covenant before the entire world is glassed. This game has one of the most convincing stories of any of the Halo games. Better than Halo 3's story and much better than Halo wars'.

Changes from Halo 3:
Even though the 2 games run on the same engine the graphics and physics are improved as well as many other slight gameplay tweaks that make for a slightly harder yet slightly more satisfying experience.

The pistol no longer sucks and is one of the best weapons
However the Battle Rifle has been all but forgotten, and no longer exists(strange, I remeber using that on earth in Halo 2)
Fall damage now plagues the player.
using equipment has been replaced with an awesome Nightvision/ enemy finder mode. I call it the Pwn button.
Melee attacks are useless unless used against drones.
All enemy AI has been seriously improved especially in the Jackals who are now even more deadly and annoying than the brutes.
The grunts have an odd habbit of throwing excessive grenades even when not needed.
The smg has been upgraded to do more damage and be more acurate, as well as a scope and silencer.
You no longer throw grenades straight, you lob them in an arch which makes sticking a bitch.
On the plus however you can now carry 3 of every grenade.
When idle the Banshee doesn't sink but keeps afloat.
When using a torn-off chaingun or flamethrower you move at least twice s fast as master chief if not more than that, this makes little sense because Spartans are mch stronger than ODSTs are and why they move slower defies logic
You no longer have a regenerating health but a stamina meter.
Health packs are hidden in the city and are a must.
The mission stream seamlessly from the free-roaming city level.
No motion tracker(or for the noobs"mini map")
Sub-story collectibles instead of Skulls and terminals
Hunter's Ai is broken as hell and sometimes they will go numb and just stand there and watch you kill them, funny but sad.
The brute shot is now really powerful in the hands of a brute, 2 direct hits "kills" on legendary.

Few that was a lot, all right let's move on.

Graphics and art style:
The graphics have been slightly improved in terms of detail though not quality. Unfortunately the Halo 3 engine is no longer top of the line and it shows. However the daytime scenes really work and the nighttime scene are even better. The Odsts themselves have a great amount of detail and the whole environment is beautiful.

Extras:
The stuff that people without LIVE won't care about and should skip this section.

Firefight:
Basically horde mode, but Halo 3. Fight waves of increasingly intense covenant.Everything from grunts to Chieftains this mode clearly was the focus of the game's polish. With some crazy hard achievements, some awesomely huge levels, and infinite replay value this mode will keep me as well as anyone with friends entertained for a long while.

Issues:
No game is perfect and unfortunately has in my opinion some of the most annoying glitches in any of the halo games. This was clearly due to a rush at the end of development and it shows. Most of the polish went into firefight and maps instead of the details. Here are a few of the ones that bothered me frequently.

If you beat the game on Legendary difficulty setting the game will not update your profile to say so, this has happened to me and about 6 of my xbox live buddies.
Some firefight levels have crippling glitches, for example I once died and lost the game by trying to driving up a rock-hill on Lost Platoon, instead I phased through it and my chopper exploded.
The achievements "Super Sleuth" "My Clothes!" and "Both tubes" are all broken and sometimes will not unlock when they should. I had to unlock "Both tubes" twice and "My Clothes!" about 4 times. I still haven't gotten "Super Sleuth" which is to beat the second to last level
When in a Chopper, Brute's AI on any difficulty will fail and be laughably easy to kill.
Like I previously said the Hunter's AI will sometime shut off mid battle and watch you dance their head and then kill them with out even fighting back.

In conclusion:
I highly recommend this game to both Halo fans and newcomers, in my opinion this game best captures the Halo spirit. Halo 3 had better action and was more polished but this game was fun around every corner. Yeah it's short. Only about 3-5 hours long depending on the difficulty setting. But Halo 3 had some really bad levels, like the one inside the flood ship. Really boring until the end. This game is fun and exciting all the way through and will keep yo hooked if not on the campaign, then on Firefight and The second disc.

Wait a minute! Why are there no Elites? WTF?!?!? I loved elites, why aren't they bad again. You still fought them in Halo 2( when this game took place) so why aren't there any in the game? They are only even mentioned in a secret area in the first level. So WTF! Why can't we have Elites and Brutes!? Sigh, well Bungie I hope you had a good reason.

Biggest issues with Xbox live

Most of this is noticed from Cod4 and Halo 3 but this can also be applied to any other competitive game.

Trashtalkers: You know those guys who come in a game and instantly call everyone a faggot, or a punk ass bitch? Those people who even though you just beat them 10-2 still consistantly call you and your team names? Yes, these little retards plague Xbox live, and because of their abundancy they infect people, usually little 12-13 year old bitches who just got on xbox and started calling people the "N" word and shit like that.

Homophobes: although this is basically a form of trashtalking I felt it's rampant enough to warrant its own section. These are those people who call everyone a fag, say "that's gay" about everytime they die and ruin the game for everyone. This really pisses me off because I have a gay friend and he is really nice.I often explain o these people that being homophobic is stupid and just makes them seem like a 1960s Republican. Or any republican for that matter.

n00bs: No, I don't mean newbs. A newb is someone who just got a game and has neve played before, they aren't very good and bring the team's score down, but eventually they learn and everything is good. Everyone s a newb at some point. A n00b is someone who sucks from the release date to years after and still think they are all that. People who brag about Hyabusa armor, or beating Halo 3 on legedary, nobody cares really we don't. I have every armor perm for the Spartan and Elite model excluding Recon, but I don't say shit. Why? because I'm not the best at Halo, but I'm definitely not n00b.

Screamers: Before puberty but still allowed to play Halo, screamers often fill both n00b and the screamer, as well as sometimes the trashtalker position. They are anoying even when not trying to be. They sing, they teabag, and ruin an otherwise fun game. No real player teabags in Halo uless it's deserved.

I assassinate you=I walk by and everybody's fine
I hate screamers most of all because of their easily twisted minds they often fill all positions and ruin games for eveyone.

Game Crazy, Hollywood video's answer to Gamestop, is the best. It's as close to a mom and pop video game store you'll get. They have a great trade system, replace games if they don't work, and offer free disc repair! And on September 21 they're having a midnight release of Halo 3 ODST. Over 130 people are gonna show and I live in a small ass town, 130 people is about a 3rd the population(well not really).

I will be there(hopefully) with my camera to record the whole thing. It's gonna be on my youtube account here! So tune in and enjoy the explosion of geeks!

Halo 3 Montage

To send Halo 3 out with a bang I made a montage of my favorite moments while playing. Sometimes I die, other times I owned. It's a little sad that Halo 3 is going to be gone in a matter of days, but nothing lasts forever. Well except maybe the multiplayer, but we'll see. All I can say is that Halo 3 has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. I met so many friends and had endless hours of fun, to think how those 3 years have flown, we'll miss you Halo and we'll never forget!

Prototype Review

Prototype is a free-roaming power fantasy game that is fun for 2-3 weeks and then you realize that everything that made the game fun was taken from another game. Well let's do this in sections.

Story:

You, Alex Mercer, are an amnesiac that has mysterious powers and wants answers, why you ask? Because this game's story takes it in the ass. It's boring and you'll most likely stop caring around the third mission. Yes it's that bad.

Graphics:

Visuals like this would barely fly on the PS2, and even the Gamecube would be slightly ashamed. They are ugly, blocky, and gritty. They have no polish and really take you out of the game. There are only about 10 character models excluding main characters so you'll often find you self in a crowd of clones. The animations are superb though, the animations are beautiful. If this game had decent graphics I could overlook so many other problems.

Ripped-off gameplay:
Many games, like anything else, take what others have done and improve upon it; this game, however, takes almost all gameplay aspects from other games. Here is a clear list(note, this is my opnion)

Annoying/time consuming achievements=Cod4

Prototype could have been good but it seemed like they had a good idea and then didn't put any effort into fulfilling the full potential. I hope a good company in the future remakes this game. It could have been a best seller, but no.

Here is what Prototype needs to be a good game.

Much improved graphics
A decent storyline without all the amnesia bullshit
Screw the collectable orbs, unless there are only 20 or something, not 250
No bullshit achievements like, kill 53,451 infected, i've have this for 2 months and have only killed about 10,000
A kickass multiplayer mode, with races, or capture the flag
No sensory powers, I never used them,
Less health but enemies do less damage
Less events involving killing, and more flying ones because those were awesome
Less generic enemies, those Hunter things are just like the Hulk dogs
A much smaller city, travling from one side to another felt like actually doing it and not in a good way.

In conclusion, Prototype is not worth 60 bucks and is hardly worth 30. If you can find it in a bargin bin, go for it. Otherwise wait til you can. It's worth a play but is frustrating as hell. It's only fun for a bit. The enemies are dumb, the story is dumber, and the graphics are dumbest. This game had so much potential but failed in almost every regard. If a loving developer like Rockstar, 2K games, or even Epic games, were to make this, it would have been great. If you like super hero games wait until this game is on sale and then pick it up, if not, steer clear.

Steppin' Razor
Scored a Triple Kill with the sword in a ranked free for all playlist.

Two for One
Scored a Double Kill with a single spartan laser shot in a ranked free for all playlist.

Halo 3 has some of the hardest Multiplayer achievements in any game. They require skill, precision, timing, and a lot of luck! Yesterday I finally unlocked my last 2 crazy hard achievements, Overkill and Steppin' Razor. I now have all armor permutations for the Spartan model, and Elite model. I don't ave Recon but hopefully I will in the next moth or two.

I didn't really have anything else to say, I got the achievement and DAMN I was satisfied when I heard that "Bleep Bloop" sound. Two for One is a lot easier then people make it out to be. Just make sure yo get it when you're a low level cause the tough players don't wait around much to get it. I just wanted to make this as it is a milestone ,if you will, in my Achievement career.

These are the maps included in the one and only Map pack for COD4 Modern Warfare.
If you're short on time, this purchase isn't worth 800 microsoft points. Save your money.

If you have time here is a deep description of why.

Broadcast: B-
Broadcast consists of a large building with a few smaller buildings surrounding. The spawns are ok(accept for one) and there is a balance of what can happen on the map. Team battle can get intense with people coming up and down stairs like it's going out of style. The outer-buildings are pretty good for sniping but overall the level is bland. It feels like they straight ripped it from campaign without making appropriate changes.

Killhouse: F-
One of the poorest levels i've ever played. This level is a large indoor map with many tunnels, and soft cover. One of the issues is there is no safe place, any piece of wood can be shot through and even though it's indoors airstrikes work! You wouldn't understand how anoying this is until you get nuked 2 times from 1 airstrike. This level feels like it need to be re-skinned and added to Halo 3, add a shotgun and a sniper perch, this level would have been great. And on top of all this level is glitchy as fuck! I have a great internet connection and this level has lagged everytime i've played it. Also sometimes shots and knifes don't register which is common but this level guarantees it.

ChinaTown: D+
Chinatown takes place in San Fransisco California. It's taken from the original Call of Duty. This wouldn't be so bad except the level was a joke to begin with. It's too big, unless you're playing ground war you're gonna be lost and bored with nothing to do. This level also has some of the cheapest camping spots ever. chainlink fences partially obscure view but from one side only so you can just sit there with an M16 all day. It's got a cool art style that was put to good use, but sadly this level also suffers from bad glitches just like Killhouse, hits don't register and it takes forever to load, even in local play. And why is it S.A.S vs Spetsnaz? In other words, why are British special forces fighting Russians terrorists in the middle of California?

Creek: A
This is the only reason I didn't demand a refund. Creek has got great level design with an amazing attention to detail. It like if Overgrown and Downpour had a baby. It looks and sounds better than every other level in the map pack and most of the default maps. It takes place near a small abandoned village next to a "Creek". Great sniper spots, fun level design, and you can camp in an outhouse! How cool is that. If you liked Cod4 then don't change it, cause that bitch ain't broke! Although if you have 800 Microsoft points burning a hole in your virtual pocket, then Creek is almost worth the suckyness of the other maps put together!

The sound of Decay

About a year ago when I began regularly playing Xbox live, I decided to arm myself with an Xbox messenger kit. Economically speaking this is a great deal. A mic and text pad both of which can be plugged in at the same time for about 30 bucks. However after about a year of gentle use my mic appeared to be having issues.

Since about a week 1/2 ago my headset started getting ridiculous feed-back from other players and it was beginning to interfere with conversations. Several of my friends have had similar problems before. One of my friend's mics drops out without warning, missing that part of the conversation or not delivering her input. And my other friend's mic farts. It literally makes a farting noise periodically when he talks. It's funny for five minutes and then it gets old. But I was confused because I always treated my Headset with respect. I never threw it, my pets never attempted to eat or mate with it.

So why am I getting such bad feed-back? Well it turns out the mic uses a ton of juice and when I had low batteries in my controllers it would start dropping. Another mystery solved by MrCannon!

Racist Zombies!! part 2

Yesterday's post was an old article from about a year ago. Today's will be why.

The article was complaining about how Resident Evil 5 was a racist game because of the fact the Zombies you kill were once African. Now, I have several answers to this. Go!

1. You don't kill African people in Res 5, in fact you don't kill people in any resident evil game. They are zombies, or more correctly, infected. Infected have no race, they are just infected. White, black, brown, green, grey, dripping with acid, or with a long tounge.

2. The game isn't and will never be marketed towards kids. It's marketed towards mid-late teens and 20s. If a parent buys a rated M for Mature game for their child(under 12) then they need to accept the responsibility for what may come of this. If they don't know, they need to do the research! Developers, publishers, and or distributors should never be held responsible for the game getting into the hands of kids. If the parent buys playboy for a 10 year old, and then is disgusted by the content, it's their fault, not playboy's.

3. If the zombies weren't black the game couldn't take place in Africa. This is do to the fact that Africa has quite a few BLACK PEOPLE! Thus the majority of the zombies will have dark skin. I don't recall you throwing a RACE fit when Whitey was killing hundreds of Spanish villagers. Oh Spanish people are white? Say that to a Latino and see what happens.

So, now people are saying the same thing about Left 4 Dead 2! WTF! Did we learn nothing?
According to the Houstin Chronicle "racism is becoming a common trend in video games".
No it's not, but stupidity is.
Left 4 dead had no black zombies, not a one. It took place in Philidelphia. I think it's reasonable to have black zombies in Louisiana, and New Orleans no less. It's not insensitive, it's not racist, it's fun zombie shooting action.

Neglected Weapons

COD4, or Modern warfare has an impressive arsenal of real weapons at your disposal. 23 base weapons, 7 assault rifles, 5 sub-machine guns, 5 sniper rifles, 4 pistols, 3 light machine guns, and 2 shot guns; not to mention the 5 weapons attachments, and 4 grenades. So there is a possible 35 types of assault rifles, 20 types of sub-machine guns, 15 sniper rifles, 7 pistols, 12 light machine guns, and 6 shot guns. (pant pant pant) Yes indeed COD4 has a great library of weapons, but wait, I forgot to add the 7 different color patterns!

Ok well I'm not going to get the calculator back out so lets get to the point. Although this wonderful game has so many weapon types many people tend to stray from some of the cooler, and more effective weapons to the cheaper and easier to wield. Well I'm here to share some of my favorites with you.

For the assault rifles the class favorites are simple to pick out
M16 for its stunning accuracy
Ak-47 for it crazy power
and the G3 for all of the above

However once you unlock it, the MP44 is one of the best weapons if in the right hands.

Its semi-automatic with a good rpm, its insane power makes it frighteningly cheap, and its low kick makes it more accurate than the AK-47. In fact, I like to think of this weapon as the AK-47's big brother. It acts similar though is a bit slower. Though many people do not recognize this gun, this is because it's unlocked at a high level. But when you get it, don't forget it!

The sub-machine gun crowd seems to adore the MP5 and the P90
MP5 is one of the best guns period
and the P90 is less accurate but has its perks.

Though its tiny clip size makes it a risk, the Skorpion has a lot of bang for your buck. It's lightening quick and can reduce a foe to swiss cheese in a jiffy. High attack, low kick, and surprisingly accurate, the Skorpion is a pretty damn good gun. And on a small map, put the Slight of hand Perk on and

watch the bodies hit the floor.

Lower level players tend to avoid the shot-gun due to its slow reload time and short range. They often wait to unlock the M1014. In fact, that's what I did. Until I realized I had what I wanted the whole time.

The M1200 is an 0wning machine. One of the strongest point-blank guns, very accurate when a grip is used, and is fun as hell. My shotgun class has
M1200
grip
suppressed M9
perk 2= Slight of hand, this remedies the reload issue
perk 3= Last stand or dead silence
The M1014 clip size is the smallest of any gun, it reloads just as slow, and does less damage. Using the M1200 will have you yelling " Open Season"!

Now, once new players learn or see the Metallic monster that is the Desert Eagle, they forget all about the other secondary weapons and go straight for that one. I did too but once I unlocked it I had the same realization I did with the shot gun. Now before you call "bullshit" hear me out.
Yes the desert eagle is powerful, but that's it, that is the sole thing the gun has going for it. It's inaccurate(except at point-blank), it has a puny clip size, and it's so macho it kicks around the whole damn screen after more than one shot, it tries and fails to impress. Both the M9, USP, and M1911 are more effective, period.

My favorite is the M1911
its the only other pistol you have to unlock
It does much more damage than the other 2
it's very accurate and fires very fast
has the lowest kick, and quietest shot of any pistol
and it can be suppressed. Plus it's the only pistol with a beautiful wooden finish. This gun complements any sniper class and acts as a close-medium range defense. In fact, I love this gun so much I would consider it and honorary primary weapon.
It isn't back up, it's Re-enforcements!

Burnout Paradise Sells Out!

Ever since the game's release Burnout has had in-game advertisements for an assortment of products. Usually only on billboards(not the smashable ones unfortunately) there have been adds from everything from Insurance to McDonald's. You might even see a Gillette Fusion truck driving around(you can smash this though). I wanted to bring this up because more and more games seem to be using Xbox Live as a way to update ads in-game. Some have said that this draws you out the experience; others argue that it enriches the game by making it more life like. Marvel games, mostly Spiderman, are especially guilty of these shameless plugs.

So do you think developers should stop whoring out their games, or is it justified? I don't think it's absolutely bad its just different. In my opinion the more subtle it is the better.

And just think McDonald's, if you had let Criterion make your billboard destroyable then you would have a Real drive-thru!
